Let’s talk getting back into a fitness routine. I think a lot of times when you fall out of a fitness routine, it can seem impossible to get back into it.
Every Sunday you tell yourself you’ll “start being healthy” on Monday, expecting yourself to go immediately go from couch to working out 5x a week. Monday comes around and you crush it, but then by Wednesday life happens, you’ve completely fallen off the wagon again and you deem yourself a failure and feel discouraged .
But, it’s important to realize that that’s not how habits are formed, and it’s INSANE to think expect yourself to completely change your lifestyle overnight.
My advice to you:
- Start small.
- Set reasonable and attainable goals like working out once a week or going on a walk 3x a week.
- Once you’ve been able to stick to the above goal for at least 2 weeks, look to add on more.
- Rinse & repeat the above process until you’re where you want to be.
