Have you heard of the Dirty Dozen?

The Dirty Dozen is the Environmental Working Group‘s list of the 12 MOST pesticide contaminated fruits and vegetables. Each of the food items on this list tested positive for a number of different pesticide residues and container higher concentrations of pesticides than other produce.

So, if buying all organic produce is out of budget, you may want to consider organic for the items on this list.

  3. Kale
  4. Nectarines
  5. Apples
  6. Grapes
  7. Peaches
  8. Cherries
  9. Pears
  10. Tomatoes
  11. Celery
  12. Potatoes
